The Photo Spread

Today I wanted to talk about two things: Where I have been and where I am right now.  This will be a photo heavy post.  I hope you enjoy.

Where I have been

(2003 - Rocking some BCGs!)

I haven't always been as big as I am now.  In fact, I used to be in pretty good shape, if I do say so myself.  The above photo is me in 2003 when I graduated from Basic Training.  I can hardly recognize myself in this photo.  I believe I was right around 180 pounds at this point in my life.  As you will see, my weight builds and builds as time as I got older and, well, lazier.

  (2004 - Still looking good.)

(2004 - Notice how happy I am here.)

(2005 - Things are starting to get big up in here.)

(2009 - Yikes!  Brodie is cute here though.)

(2010 - This is the biggest I have ever been.  I was pushing 290 lbs and had to walk with a cane!)

(2011 - This was me after doing a juicing diet for 15 days and weighing around 255.
Notice how it didn't stick.  Diets like that never do.)

Where I am right now.

(I figured I wouldn't scar you with a topless pic.  You're welcome.)

(Check out that chin or lack there of)

(Fun Fact: that gut impedes me from seeing my toes when I look down!)

Now, here are some fun facts about me as of today, 27 April 2012.
Weight: 273.5 lbs
Waist: 52" (my son is 37" tall)
Approximate BMI: 38% (38 percent of me, Louie Mills, is fat and that is completely mad)
T-Shirt size: 2XL
Pants size: 42 x 30

I went to my doctor today and got some blood work done, so, in about 10 days I'll be able to add those stats to track as well.  My goal is, until my quests completion, to do a weigh in every Friday afternoon and post the results here.  And, I am determined to show a change each and every week (hopefully in a downwards motion).  I'm not talking a drastic change each and every week, I'll be happy with even a pound gone from my body.  I'll also keep taking these horrible pictures and post them at the same time.

Next time I'll discuss the nutritional aspect of this process and my horrible horrible boredom eating cycle.  It's horrible.  Thanks for the read and until next time.

  2. If you dont start seeing improvements for the first few weeks, dont be discouraged louie, it takes time, this is a marathon, not a sprint. Dont give up after a few weeks or i will give you so much shit... keep this going louie, you can do it.

  3. Too funny! Before reading comments I was thinking that I really liked the shower curtain and you could have at least smiled. Then I was thinking that these life changes are hard and you have to look at it as a life change - a marathon and not a sprint. Great minds and all that. :)
